EarthCast leverages cloud based, highly secure, on-demand high-performance computing (HPC) facilities that lead the industry in rapid-update modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cybersecurity and speed to customer.

The EarthCast team possesses a broad array of skillsets from environmental modeling, Earth sciences, systems architecture, data analytics, AI and ML combined with an understanding of how environmental information products are ultimately used to make decisions. This allows us to work closely with our clients and develop the right solution for their needs.

EarthCast improved the accuracy and usability of rapid-update predictions by perfecting the process of constantly injecting live observational data into the prediction process. Our scientists developed new technologies for integrating numerous data sets, including our client’s proprietary data, to develop unique purpose-built products.

The concept of a full Earth system model that accurately represents and predicts all processes with in our planet’s physical environment has long been the Holy Grail of global prediction; and it is no small task. Our expertise in numerical prediction and understanding of environmental data (and the limitations of both) allows our team to develop the best solution for your unique needs.

At EarthCast, we control the entire data flow process from raw observational data, quality control, assimilation, and integration into HPC models and then customize output in any industry accepted format, color scale, and at any resolution and time step. We do not post-process low resolution forecasts through interpolation and present it as “higher” resolutions products. We offer truly innovative solutions that are based on science.

By leveraging the Earth observing system from space, EarthCast provides complete real-time global coverage, even over areas that are traditionally difficult, like the polar regions. The array of space-based sensors provide a new generation of the highest quality observations available. EarthCast continues developing new technologies to integrate, ingest and utilize this vast amount of streaming data to provide precision in monitoring and prediction, well beyond traditional “weather” information and forecasts.

Staying on the cutting edge of environmental intelligence solutions requires substantial investment in the research and development of emerging technologies. EarthCast collaborates with commercial partners, universities, research labs, state and federal agencies, including the Department of Defense to define the next generation of advanced environmental products. 

We also leverage federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programs to advance the adoption of environmental intelligence products and services to address challenges faced by the U.S. Air Force, Space Force and Army.
